Are 7% uvb compact reptile lamps safe for humans?

I just bought a D3 compact reptile lamp that emits 7% uvb, I’m wondering if there are any health risks I should be aware of while the light is on and my pet’s terrarium is in my bedroom. Am I exposing my eyes and skin to some serious health risk while the light is on?

A good question.
Think of it this way.
Reptiles normally get their UVB requirements from sunlight.
Your lamp doesn’t even come close to the UVB in sunlight. Do you ever go out into the sunlight?

I wouldn’t place the UVB lamp where you will be directly staring into for hours but other than that I think you are safe.
